Spent the evening here on a warm sunny night and was very pleased and impressed. Drink selection was ok and would have prefered a more interesting ale choice but was what was there was in good nick. Had a ploughmans which was absolutly devine just needed a touch more pickle. lovely pub.

The Running Horse, Leatherhead

Lovely old pub, great selection of ale and lovely atmosphere. paid 3.37 for a pint of ale the other day which is bit high for my wallet

Penny Black, Leatherhead

Lovely pub with real fire and large outside area. its such a shame Youngs dont make more ale in their pubs and that it can be a bit pricey. had sunday roast and was lovely, good portion too.

The Edmund Tylney, Leatherhead

Been to the pub a few times recently and recieved friendly and promt service. Well kept ales at about 1 cheaper than anywhere else near by and excellent range. nice to see a fullers always on and not just pride. Good to see another Wetherspoons bucking the obvious negative image that so many hold on to

The Earth and Stars, Brighton

Finally have a pub near me that has hepworth blonde on tap if nothing else thats a good enough reason to drink here. Very strange smoking area completly walled in and for some reason you can take your drink out with you, very off

The Temple Bar, Brighton

As mentioned a very nice pub with a real focus on ales. But it loses sever marks as there prices are sky high. I had a lovely pint of kings and i really do object to payiny 3.50. I happen to know how much they pay for some of their beers and this is not far off daylight robbery. In their defence they are run by indigo and much like Drink inn Brighton they are far too expensive for ale!

The Hove Place, Hove

Went in this pub the other day as a friend said it used to be quite popular a few years ago. very nice layout and very smart and tidy. Didnt eat but the food looked very nice with a whole menu dedicated to national cask ale week. My only critisim is that i was pleased to see and off for 4 halfs of ale for 2.50 but the only beer they seemed to do was london pride, bombadier, doom bar and harveys best. Ale easily found and a bit boring would be good to half something different and local

Connaught, Hove

A gorgeous pub in a lovely location. Couple of points that i think need mentioning. Firstly the bar staff do not have a clue how to pour a pint, the beer was lovely but it was shocking to see how much beer was wasted and how little care was put into the pour. One barman seemed to be racing him self to see how quickly he could pull the pump. Also such a shame to walk into a brakespear pub and have 2 of the 4 ales off and to have one of the ales as a Harveys best which i can get anywhere else. i went there because of the brewery and couldnt get any of their product. shame. Otherwise lovely oub with real fire and food looked good.

The Franklin Tavern, Brighton

Not a great. food is ok, drink is alright but boring selection the regulars do seem to be quite rough

The Victory Inn, Brighton

A decent pub but best enjoyed when not rammed. a reasonable selection of drinks available certainly much better than that found on neighbouring west street! Staff can be a little cold and clearly not very enthusiastic. Good selection of ales as you will find in most drink in brighton pubs

The Evening Star, Brighton

a solid pub with the benifit that you don't find your normal draft muck in there. as mentioned it does sometimes come across a bit unfriendly if you just there on your own but still a decent pub although as mentioned not one to base your night in.

Pub du Vin, Brighton

I found this pub to be absoluty amazing. Went in there with a few friends and enjoyed a warm welcome. As mentioned isnt your classic pub but it does provide a great atmosphere in gorgeous surroundings. I must also point out that it has one of the best selections of drink in Brighton with a large percent of these being of british origin, i promise you there will be something there you will not have tried.

The West Quay, Brighton

A really good pub with the most amazing views you will get at any wetherspoons. The decor is wonderful and the pub has an amazing atmosphere. It hit a slump in the summer but is on the up and up with what seems to be a whole new set of management. well worth a visit.
