The Cannon Inn, Newton Poppleford
Passing through around lunchtime today and we had read the reviews here, so were a bit sceptical.
Nowhere else was open so we gave it a go.
At least four ales on gravity behind the bar which unfortunately we couldn't sample as we were driving.
There was a huge menu to choose from and a large separate vegetarian menu. We ordered the Sunday Roasts and they came quite quickly and were excellent. The service was fast and friendly and we will definitely be visiting again when I have someone to drive me.

Great pub with Milk Street beers at a reasonable price.
Regular guest beers available always at a good price.
Two nice pool tables, a jukebox, pinball machine and the usual fruit machines.
Smoking/outdoor drinking areas front and rear.
Now also serving proper coffee.
Highly recommended - Too many CAMRA awards to mention.

The Brewhouse, Poole
My first visit for some time and was pleased to see that the pub hasn't changed, apart from a lick of paint.
The beer is as good as I remembered. Top quality. Today I was on the Dark Star American Pale Ale. 10/10
