The Pitcher and Piano, Reading

It was more entertaining when it was a bank. Very stingy indeed with nachos and staff not that hot.

The Mansion House, Reading

I really wouldn't try the food. I sent mine back and even the omelette they gave me instead was a ready made, frozen one. Ick.

The Eldon Arms, Reading

If you know where you are going, you can slip in here for a pint if you are a patient at the nearby Royal Berks Hospital ! I did while I was waiting for my baby to pop out. Kept me sane as no beer supplied in hospital. V Good beer.

The Dolphin, Dartmouth

A friendly pub that serves good food (restaurant upstairs) and decent beer. Does not get invaded by the hoards of elderly persons who can take over all the eateries in Dartmouth !

The Beehive, Upper Basildon

It is now open all day which is handy but does sometimes get a bit "luvvy" so don't go in your gardening clothes in the evening or on the weekend ! Beer kept well and owners friendly...

The Antelope, Upavon

Traditional coaching inn with real ale, many whiskies and bar and restaurant food. Also does B & B.
Used by local community but welcomes strangers, hence my suggesting it. I could not fault it in any way !
