The Hyde Tavern, Winchester

This pub is one of the best in Winchester, and there's a few good one's (althought many more awful ones as well). the atmosphere is Great, the beer is Great, the Landlady is Great, the fire is Great, even the Grate is Great! Try not to miss dropping in each time I'm in Winchester. You'd be foolish to miss it. Mind you, if you stay away, It'll be better for the rest of us.

The Crown, Old Basing

Sadly, The Crown has closed and is now boarded up. Let's hope it's bought as a going concern.

Ye Olde White Bear, Hampstead

I'm personally on the side of davecamden and adelondon. The refurb is quite disasterous, the food is overpriced and quite frankly, this is now a restaurant so shouldn't even be on beerintheevening.com. Hampstead is slowly loosing it's charm. Even the Holly Bush has a bouncer!!!!!

The Albion, Winchester

Good place to meet, off the train, or to end a crawl, when heading back to the station. Great beer, nice atmosphere.

The Hyde Tavern, Winchester

Probably not the best pub in town, but more than worth a visit. This is the oldest non-ecclesiastical building in Winchester. The dipping floor and low ceiling make it a devil if it's the last pub on a crawl.

Different, quiet and good beer.

Excellent.

The Plough, Little London

Excellent traditional pub, with no loud music, no fruit machines, but does have a great landlord, fantastic real ale from the barrel, Ringwoods from the pump, one of the few remaining bar billiards tables around, real fires and great atmosphere. Best pub in North Hampshire in my book.
