Bar 15, Bangor

Now known as Betty Blacks after a complete overhaul. A bit too flash for my tastes, but 10 times better than the old Bar 15, and with a popular nightclub operating upstairs, it's very good for your slightly more discerning* Bangor clubber....

The Rose And Chandlers, Bangor

Potentially a nice bar, but to be honest, I wouldn't want to drink with some of their clientele. Good for noisy hen nights and good/terrible* karaoke though.

Coyles, Bangor

Nice wee bar this. Wee being the operative word, as it isn't the biggest. Usually a good atmosphere though, and they usually have live music of some sort. They do some decent drink promotions too, and the food, both upstairs and down, is highly recommended.

The Warwick, Bangor

This is now trading as Ambar which is also listed.

McElhill's, Bangor

This place has changed it's name to Donegans and has an excellent beer garden these days. In truth, it's the best thing about the place, although it also does decent priced grub. That beer garden is awesome, if full of suspiciously young people in summertime.

The Windsor, Bangor

This place was the pits of the world years back, and although it has tried to change drastically, it still ain't great. The worst bit is the music selection. The jukebox's perpetual 4 song loop when I was last in included Robbie Williams, Scooter, and Will Young and Brtiney. Couple of years ago mind, but this was in a deserted bar at 7pm. Not what you need to get in the mood for a relaxed pint. I have some good memories from when I was at school drinking in here though. A relaxing pint after most A level exams!
