The Monks Retreat, Reading

service is a bit slow and single women are prone to being propositioned at the bar by drunk men but overall not bad

Santa Fe, Reading

Not bad. On a recent Friday night visit service was very slow due to amount of time taken to prepare cocktails and small number of staff who seemed to like chatting to friends. It was frustrating for us as we were waiting at the bar for our order of two beers and a wine but bar man when he did come was very charming. Good range of Mexican beers etc

The Sun and Doves, Camberwell

10/10 - the best pub in South London

The Royal Standard, Wandsworth

As the other reviewers have said its a very pleasant standard pub with good range of beers and wines

The Black Sheep, Camberwell

Good pub - has adequate range of bar snacks and standard pub selection of beers and wines. Cocktails are good and 2 for 1 offers especially good! Food was standard pub snacks - nachos, salads, dips etc. Friendly and prompt service too

The Prince of Wales, Camberwell

Good local located near Myatts Fields - has been done up recently with new decor and interior, further development to come? Generally able to get a seat either inside or outside which is good

Blakes, Camberwell

Still not open even though it appears to have been done up to reopen as Dark Horse - apparently they are having problems with the gas.

The Old English Gentleman, Edgware Road

Nothing special - there are far better pubs in the side streets off Edgware Road towards Edgware and Baker St tubes

The Walkabout Inn, Nottingham

Abolsutely awesome!!!

The Walkabout, Swansea

Standard Walkabout experience - lots of rowdiness, lots of drunkeness, lots of women with flesh on display. At least two fights in one hour on a recent Saturday night visit. Certainly not somewhere for a quiet pint!

The Riverside, Vauxhall

Brand new Youngs pub on the riverside (surprise surprise) near to Vauxhall Bridge. Went in on first weekend and impression was of a reasonable pub. Aimed at the more expensive end of the market. Good range of beers and reasonable food. Beware 12.5% 'optional' service charge that is added to all food orders - on top of already expensive food. Most like (and therefore competitor to) the Fentiman Arms on Fentiman Road.
