The White Hart, Bishops Caundle

Enjoyed my visit very much. Excellent food and good value.

The Giant Inn, Cerne Abbas

Now serves food. Great home cooked fare and has retained it's traditional pub atmosphere

The New Inn, Cerne Abbas

The New Inn has improved greatly under the current regime. The food is great and the atmosphere is good. Definately the place to eat in Cerne Abbas at the moment.

The Royal Oak, Cerne Abbas

Sadly has gone dramatically down hill. The last tennants have recently left and the pub is now in a state of confusion. Hopefully this will get sorted but at the moment I wouldn't recommend it

The Giant Inn, Cerne Abbas

Now called The Giant Inn. A very traditional pub feel. No food but friendly locals and great real ales. Excellent atmosphere and a roaring log fire. Worth a visit if you're looking for a taste of real village life.

The Sailors Return, East Chaldon

I was disappointed with this one. It's in a lovely setting but the food wasn't great and somehow, although busy, it lacked any real character.

The Royal Oak, Cerne Abbas

A very quaint pub in a lovely setting. The food was good, although maybe a little overpriced. Definitely an eating pub rather than a locals watering hole. The service was a little slow at the bar but that may have been because it was busy.

The Poachers Inn, Piddletrenthide

This is a great pub. It has recently changed hands but the staff are the same. Nice food and lovely restaurant. The bar is full of friendly locals which helps it retain it's 'country pub' feel
