The Craft Beer Co, City of London

A superb pub. Yes, it isn't a comfortable, warm lounge of a boozer. But the immense and changing selection of quality and rare ales is astounding. The bar staff are pleasant and knowledgeable, and encourage you to try a few before settling on your (admittedly pricey) poison.

Its not a regular to waste away the hours with all and sundry, but with a couple of drinking mates who like their beer you'll undoubtedly waste many an hour

The Tinners Arms, Zennor

Well kept local ales and wonderful food in a stunning setting - don't really know what more you could ask for from a pub?

I wouldn't say the bar-staff are the most friendly I've ever encountered, but are very efficient, and certainly handled our large group without any fuss. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the setting. Next time I'm the area I'll definitely go back.

Pratts and Payne, Streatham

I like this place, its not an outstanding boozer, but its cheap, clean, serves the odd real ale, and plays music (unlike the 'spoons next door). Always found it very hospitable. Live a short bus ride away and me and the missus ofen go when we can't be bothered to cook but don't want to spend lots of cash (and end up staying too long 'cos you can't say no to another round at those prices).

Bar Lupo, Soho

Its a bar come club in Soho, and in that way its completely unremarkable. Its no worse or better than any others in the area. The beer werent too warm when I went a few Saturdays ago, bar service was slow (too few bar staff, a few tips early on help this seems quite standard in the area, terrible practice).

If you want a proper pub (or club), stay clear of this place and probably the area in general, but for pissed night out, with a dancefloor for when you can resist the pop cheese no more, it aint that bad.
