The Boathouse, Falmouth

Staff are very pleasant, have always got time for a chat and you feel like they remember you without you having to drink there everyday for a decade, ales are always on form, mad mix of folk and that view could hypnotise a bat!

The William IV, Islington

i first visited this pub during a thoroughly dull and monsoon like week this August. To my delight I was greeted by a wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable bar manager. It was a pleasure to be served by an old style bar man who knew how to converse and hold court with all of the punters. Everyone felt a part of the atmosphere which added to a very enjoyable evening.
I returned week later with my friends only to be greeted by the most vile ignorant man who claimed to be the owner. When I asked the whereabouts of the nice guy that I had met the week before the hetrosexualphobic "owner" slurred some incomprehensible obsenities and then duly fell over his own counter. i found out that the good guy had left and I am not surprised. I will never return.
