The King's Head Inn, Coleford

Really special, West country hospitality in a pub full of character, locals making you welcome and a fair range of libations available.
Understandably, ciders are good and Rich's tops the list with its genuine apple taste. Ales are Butcombe, with a range of lagers on font and the ever present Pint-o-the-Black-stuff, Guinness.
Nice rolls from behind the bar but no real food.
Great publican and definitely worth a visit if you like quaint and original, off the beaten track pubs.

The Snitterfield Arms, Snitterfield

What an incredible oasis in the village of Snitterfield and, judging by the customers, a very popular one too. Newly taken over (March 2012) by Leah and her partner, they have almost created a Gastropub with a village pub ambience. French bistro on one side with a more conventional Dining Room on the other. Good selection of real ales and a superb menu with outstanding food prepared by a passionate chef.

The crowning glory for the 'Arms' is the loving care and attention to detail by it's owner Leah, nothing being too much trouble. Highly recommended and will become our 'out-of-town' local, worth a trip to visit and enjoy.

Old Wheatsheaf, Frimley Green

Discovered this delightful establishment, quite by accident, looking for a decent pub within a few miles of our new home, having recently moved from Reading.

Great atmosphere, good food at reasonable prices and a really nice bunch of locals.

A definite "Come Back Again" for both myself and my wife (the incredibly picky one)

The Squirrel, North Camp

The staff are a really enthusiastic and friendly group, whipped into shape by "Kat". Great attitude by friendly locals and although the food quality can vary, it is generally acceptable and good value for money.
Being new to the area, having recently moved from Reading, we were pleasantly surprised to discover this almost little "gem" around the corner from us.

Will definitely regard it as our local.

The Swan, Ash Vale

Took some visitors there on way back to NZ.

Atmosphere and decor were great, food mediocre. The attitude of "Irish Mark" is to be commended. He certainly goes out of his way to please. Pity most of the other staff don't.
