The Barrowboy and Banker, London Bridge

A very pleasant experience at the end of a day of sightseeing - Pride 3.40 a pint , seems to carry pretty much the whole range of Fullers. Food very good, most mains 9 , puddings 4, good kids menu. Downstairs was busy but upstairs very relaxed. Bar staff very helpful and friendly - will definitely be going here again next trip near London Bridge. Blurb in the menu said this was the first ever branch of Nat West bank.

The Dog and Partridge, Woodhouses

Visited on a Sat afternoon, very relaxed atmosphere, recently refurbished in a very tasteful fashion. Marstons on good form. Food was very good value for money and at top end of range for Pub food. Children welcome and had a great time. Would definitely visit again and hope that I am not driving next time I go there.

The Crows Nest, Crosby

It feels a bit small because it is always busy with quiet, pleasant, friendly locals that were easy to have a chat with. Dogs are allowed in the bar area but not in the lounge. Good range of beers with a high turnover of barrels - has CAMRA awards on the walls from the last few years. Sorry to eddygilroy ( his post may have been removed by the time you read this) about losing your job - I dont think that you were in the best frame of mind for writing a pub review and I hope things turn around for you. Next time I am visiting the area this will be the place I visit.

The Black Rabbit, Offham

I went to this pub while visiting family, having had one of the best sunday pub lunches in years I thought I would have a look at the reviews on here. What a shock that it was rated as low as 3.5 out of 10. The rest of our party have high standards for food and are not afraid to speak their mind and everyone was very impressed. We had a selection of main courses amongst our party - Roast Beef, Pork and Lamb and a couple of us went for the Steak and Ale ( Tanglefoot) pie. Pints of "Badger" went down very nicely indeed. Puddings were fantastic ( speaking as a chocoholic). I can only suggest that the place has been taken over in the last few months as the staff were all polite and helpful. I thought that the prices were very reasonable - 5 adults and 2 kids came in at about 85 for mains and puddings with a few beers ( most of the drinks were paid for by another member of the party). Personally I cannot wait to go back down that way again and will be stopping for lunch there. It was a fair detour for the local family to go there and they go there regularly. It was wet and windy outside on the day of our visit so we didnt get to appreciate the view of the castle from the riverbank tables.

Friendly pub, good range of beers and wines, nice food especially the pies. 3 course meal for 2 including booze 45-50 ( big portions) - dogs are allowed in the bar section, restaurant is non smoking.

The New Inn, Etchinghill

This is an excellent pub in my opinion, it has nice wines and beers ( Shepherd Neame) and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The chef comes out to chat after the main courses are out. 3 course meal for two including booze is usually 45-50 and we go there every other month or so. Staff xmas party last year, excellent wines and feedback re food etc was very positive and we are looking to go back again this year. When I came here the pub had a rating of 4.5 out of 10 from 2 users which I think is harsh so thought I would post this.
