Station Inn, Derby

Superb pub, has been for years. Very experienced and friendly landlord - never any trouble owing to his keen involvement in Pubwatch. Beers second to none. Best Deuchars I have ever had anywhere. Very clean, well presented premises and also has very nice function room. Toilets impeccable :o)

Ye Olde Spa Inne, Derby

Now under new management. The current Landlord has had two previous well renowned pubs in Derby, majorly investing in one as a private venture.

Weekly triva quiz on Tuesdays, great function room, seating out front and back. Lovely traditional pub with generally two real ales and a creamflow.

The Dyffryn Arms, Pontfaen

Fantastic place. Known locally as "Bessie's", as in the Landlady who bless her is in her 80s and running this jewel of a pub.

Bessie told us that other than a lick of paint, this hostelry has not been changed for over 50 years. She does not want music or television at the pub, pubs are for social interaction and beer! I agree!

Perfect Bass poured from the jug, no pumps. I only which I didn't live 270 miles from this little piece of real life history - the nearest you will ever get to going back in time.

The Blue Peter, Polperro

Pretty as a picture, staff always welcoming - and they do a fantastic homemade mulled wine close to Christmas. Great well kept beers and real cider. Also dog friendly, couldn't ask more! Well be back for annual trip number six this December!

White Swan, Littleover

Further to Swanie07's comments, Management has now changed, under lease to a previous Licensee - custom is picking up, food has also improved. Long live the Swan, and a big welcome back to BD!

The Ship Inn, Polperro

A little dated inside but this pub has a lovely feel to it and the beer served is well kept - they keep a particularly good Wychwood Hobgoblin. It's nice to visit a pub that is unique and not part of a chain that all look the same!

The Boat Inn, Cromford

What a great pub! We opted to call in this hostelry as they welcomed well behaved dogs. The ale was great, the atmosphere lovely, staff and regulars very, very welcoming and friendly. Also served great quality REAL cider. We look forwarding to visiting again!!

The Bush Inn, Tenby

One of the smallest pubs I have ever been in, lovely atmosphere. But quite some time ago so I cannot remember what real ales there were, if any.

Furnace Inn, Derby

Friendly traditional local pub, mainly a more mature clientele, good beers, welcoming landlord.

Station Inn, Derby

Fabulous real boozer. The best Caledonian Deuchars I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. Nice atmosphere. Excellent Landlord. A proper old fashioned type pub with the most welcoming and hard working of hosts.

White Swan, Littleover

Friendly local pub. Pub grub type menu, all meals under 5 but great quality, particularly the steaks. Very good quality real ales - always at least 5 on. Great landlord. Derby in Bloom winner on several occasions.
