my husband and i went to the white rose a while ago and the food was awful. we had breakfast and it was very greasy and the service of the bar staff was rubbish.
we returned there a while later and the food was much better as they had employed a new chef, but the bar staff were not brilliant. service was rubbish. wont be going there again!

The Village Inn. How best to descibe it? Cosy, comfortable, friendly, warm, inviting, family orientated, groups accomodated, good fun, exciting, need I say more? Call in and join in the fun!!

Looking forward to the run-up to Christmas at The Village Inn! Lots of things going on! Dave Cottle Band is there on New Years Eve if anyone is interested. They are really good. Tickets are �15 and it is chicken and chips in a basket. Absolutely not to be missed!! Come along and join in the fun - all welcome!!

Well guys, a fab weekend in front of us!! Jason Curvis singer and karaoke is on tonight from about 20.30, and tomorrow night Dave Cottle Band jazz evening, again from about 20.30. Come and join us, I can guarentee you will have an awesome time!!

Yes, well, I can only speak as I find Duncan. I love going to the Village Inn , it is an amazing pub. I stand by that 100%. I went there again the night before last. The food is outstanding. I'm going there again tonight. Jason Curvis is singing tonight and the place will be bouncing! Come and see what it's like for yourselves guys!!

Im not provoking any arguement Duncan. I just cant see why you are being so vindictive and personal with pointless comments , like not opening on a monday, for example, I can't see what difference this makes to the way the pub is run and the service they offer? But there we go, you have your opinion and I have mine. I hope you find yourself a local pub that you are happy with and that will treat you well, because I don't think The Village Inn is really the best pub for you hey?!

Well Duncan you could have fooled me. Some of the things you have put on here are aweful. You are allowed an opinion, but my mother always taught me that if you cant find anything nice to say, say nothing at all, or at least give constructive criticism not the endless realms of gibberish nonsense you seem to be dishing out!
Isnt everyone entitled to one day off a week? Well Sue takes a monday off, that was why the pub wasnt open the time you passed. If you knew her at all, you would know that she works very hard in the pub and only has one day off a week.
Im not sure where you get the bit about Mumbles lovelies from. Im not from Mumbles and Sue and all the staff treat me the same as locals. In fact, I travel quite a distance to go to this particular pub.
Like I said before guys, the only way you are ever going to know the real truth, is to try it for yourselves. You wont be sorry I can reassure you of that!

Well, we went down to The Village Inn last night and Sue was working on her own as her partner was working elsewhere. What an amazing night. The pub was quite busy and everyone was enjoying themselves immensely. The food was superb as usual and the staff were all really friendly and efficient.

I go to The Village inn numerous times a week, sometimes to eat, sometimes just for a drink. The food is amazing. All food is freshly cooked so it does take a bit longer to cook than microwave rubbish. The staff are always friendly and efficient. They have a singer on a friday night and the atmosphere is electric, it is always full on a friday.
I have to disagree with everything that DuncanDisorderly has said. You seem to have some personal vendetta against the landlady. I have personally known Sue for twenty years and I know she is very polite and very attentive to ALL the customers that come into the pub. It is a family pub with family values.
I know she has hired and sacked a lot of people in the 27 years that she has run pubs and people can be very bitter about being sacked. Are you one of these people Duncan? Bitterness can eat you up inside and make you ill. Ruining her business isn't gonna help surely? Move on.
I think the best advise that I can offer anyone looking at this site is to go and try it for yourself. If you don't, you will never know for yourself what it was like, and you will have missed out on a fabulous eating experience!!

The Village Inn, Mumbles
I noticed a post on here about the pub being up for sale? The pub and the flats above are all for sale. A fantastic business to buy I would say. A lot of pubs in Mumbles have gone bust but I think the Village Inn is a brilliant buy and would suit a young and innovative couple who have the energy to run t to it's full potential.
Negative as ever Duncan disastarly?!! Well, why am I not surprised?!!!
We had our Christmas staff night out at the Village Inn on the 6th of December. I have to say the food was awesome, service brilliant and the entertainment second to none. We had a fantastic night. Keep up the good work guys and see you again very soon!!
The highest rating you can give on here is ten, but if I could I would give them 15/10 because they are so good.
