Avoid! Went here on a Friday night. It was busy, but there were plenty of empty tables nonetheless. We arrived at 7:30 pm and didn't get our food until 9:00 pm. The wine list was extortionate. The service was appalling. Unless you're only having a pint outside, I would advise you to avoid this place.

The Bricklayers Arms, Beckenham
Ignore the previous bad reviews. This is a nice, normal pub. The staff have always been welcoming and polite to us. They also serve a couple of real ales. For the price, it's a bargain.

The Grape and Grain, Crystal Palace
BIE definitely needs to amend its ratings for this pub. It's a gem. We had 2 pints of well kept beer from a selection of 6 real ales- most of which were new to me. We had a very good, filling, delicious, and inexpensive lunch with excellent puddings. The atmosphere was great, the pub was super clean, and the service above and beyond. I would heartily recommend this pub to all!
