Severn Bridge Social Club, Chepstow

Fantastic place, very well run with all the facilities you need plus an excellent outside smoking area.
Probably does more for the community than any other club in the county.
Beer well kept, especially the recently introduced cask conditioned type, good food at a very reasonable price. What more can you ask for

The Bell Hanger, Chepstow

I am not happy that MisterX has implied that I the Landlord of the Coach and Horses have written a negative review of the Bellhanger Chepstow.
I can truthfully say that I have never visited the establishment and have never ever written any review of any establishment on the beer in the evening website.
Mister X get your facts right before you accuse someone of doing something fishy and publish your real name if you have the guts to do so.

Grape, Chepstow

I have yet to drink in a pub so wanting a bit of TLC. The staff were completly indifferent to our needs, or those of the other customers. Reverend James (Brains) which can be such a beautiful thing to drink was undrinkable. A trip to the loos was an eye-opener; there were two buckets to collect the urine as it passed through the pipes!!!

White Lion, Chepstow

A dirty and badly run pub, the toilets a disgrace. No real ale and most others sold out of cans, enough said.

The Bell Hanger, Chepstow

This really is not a good pub, Wetherspoons or otherwise. After giving it the benefit of the doubt, especially after the first months many teething problems it is still a shambles. Daytime trade was brisk but completely understaffed and food being sent back in an incredible manner. The beer was fine, but nothing to write home about.
The evening was a disaster: not a single clean table, to get to the bar was nigh on impossible, again due to understaffing. The beer this time ( a different one) was poor, badly kept to say the least. After eventually getting a table and finally receiving our food we found that it wasnt at all what we asked for. A return to the bar for something else to drink resulted in another badly kept pint and my mind made up never to return again.
Where are these people drinking that they think this pub is decent? Although Chepstow is not gifted with the greatest of pubs there are decent ones to be found, try them.

The Coach and Horses Inn, Chepstow

Best pub in Chepstow by far.
In fact the ONLY pub in Chepstow.
Fabulous choice of real ales all well kept and in perfect condition. Also excellent home cooking done by the landlords wife.
Her steak and kidney pies are superb.

The Coach and Horses Inn, Chepstow

I drink in the Coach every day of my life, and they do not serve spirits in 35ml measures. They do have a special price for 25ml double measures which my wife takes advantage of (too regularly).
The Coach is a lovely old place with a great mix of locals and tourists alike. THey also have two charming little dogs that run around like little loonies.
Lots of real ale on offer too.
