Fab Cafe, Manchester

This bar is great. People who go there have not forgotten that going out is about having FUN!not posing or staring at those who don't 'fit in'. People just dance and have a great time. The atmosphere is brilliant.

The Vine Inn, Manchester

I was surprised and pleased to see a pub like this tucked away near Fountain St. and the financial distrct, usually the domain of Starbucks and their cohorts. Well worth a visit because it's individual and the staff are friendly. A very welcoming place! Yes, it closes on Sundays.

Zumeba, Manchester

Serves fantastic coffee until late, less studenty than a lot of places in the Oxford Road area, Zumerooms upstairs does comedy and other events. Prices very reasonable, chilled out kinda place

The Knott Bar, Deansgate

The Knott is in an ideal position and attracts a mixed clientelle but it just needs a few quid spending on the furniture. Two wonky chairs and about 50 uncomfortable stools!!! Billiard table was rotten too. On a more positive note it's CAMRA affilliated and serves a very nice Marble Breweries ginger-based ale

The Paramount, Manchester

wetherspoon's choice (inc. cocktails) at wetherspoon's prices in the centre of Manchester.good place to start the night. It gives that dump nextdoor a run for its money! Get tanked!

Rendezvous, Manchester

Friendly bar staff, proximity to the gay village scares away most of the chavs which is always good! The longest bar I've ever seen, with a great selection of beer.

Deckers, Sale

Excellent food. good setting (if not a little muddy and inconvenient) drinks massively overpriced.

The Temple, Manchester

Fantastic. I'd like to know how a couple of indie bums managed to buy an old public toilet and get permission to convert it to this. Well worth a visit. A huge choice of high quality beers. Ironically enough the toilets are substandard!!!
