Starting to go off this place as the measures seem to be small than I thought they should be. When I aked the barman his response was "and".
Shame really as the majority of staff and door men are really nice there.

What a change since it's gone no smoking....if you want a chat and a seat and to be Chav free it's got there, I must be mad as a smoker but I do like it now :)

Went in here for the first time in a while and the prices seem to have gone up dramatically....I'm sure they used to do all pints under �2.00...they don't take debit or credit cards any more and tell you to use their in house cash machine which costs upwards of �1.50 per withdrawn...and as they get a cut, seem like a good way for the pub to make money!!! Wouldn't recommend it anymore but if you do go make sure you've cash on you.

I do quite admire the cheek of this place, the prices are on a par with a number of bars and members clubs I frequent when in town....the only difference in the class....this place doesn't have any....on the up side, they are still in business so some people must be happy.

I think the previous person must have been confused, I drink in various pubs and they are always plesent to me. Though I do tend to find that they don't take kindly to rude or abusive punters (who would running a pub). Excellent well looked after ales and they even open early for the rugby.

Over priced drinks in a souless venue....if there prices were sensible to start with you wouldn't need special offers to get the punters pissed up ready for the ripoff normal prices.

Not the best bar, it's been through a bit of a tough time, looks like it's getting better though.

Last time I was in there someone was having a go at the staff for calling time about 15 minutes early!!!
I think the staff have lost interest.
The Druid's head (formerly a Hogs Head) is 2 minutes away and rapidly improving.

Been drinking in there 2-3 times a week for a few years now and am quite surprised at the comments...the service to the small bar can be slow but if you walk for 20 seconds to the other bar you still get served quickly.

In fact if they bought beer from the Coronation Hall up the road they could probably then sell it for less and still make a profit!!!!

Still way over priced, this is supposed to be a local's pub in Surbiton, not an upmarket pub in Hampstead!

The manager needs to get some balls and sort out the problem customers...once you let them get away with randomly abusing customers for one evening they'll come back everytime for more.
Looks like it may need a new manager with some balls to stop the rot.

I don't believe it...they guy who seems to be the bar manager know knows what he's doing and I've yet to find them out of ANYTHING since he started...looks like this place is on the way up again.
Only minor problem is it can get a little too smokey on occasions.
