Still impressed with price & quality of lager/beer. Music last night was at a very acceptable background music level, so that was an improvement since my last visit. Only grumble this time was the young child who was sitting up at the bar whilst her mother drunk pints until 10.30 pm - far too late to be out let alone sat at a bar . Bar staff are obviously happy to condone this.

Can't fault the quality of the lager nor the price - very reasonable compared to nearby Windsor . What will stop me from returning in a hurry was the very loud piped music which prevented me from having a decent conversation with friends .I did ask the bar staff to turn it down but although they said yes,-no audible difference was noted . Not everyone who visits pubs is 20 something & wants to listen to loud hip- hop !

The Smugglers, Milford on Sea
This pub could be so good but the staff & management haven't got a clue . The manager gets visibly harassed when serving customers & will do all he can to avoid serving .It is quite usual to have to wait to be served & to find staff leaving the bar unattended to clear or wait on tables . It might be nice if staff could actually recognise people who frequent their establishment on a regular basis .Only use this pub when other 2 pubs in the village aren't open !
