The Horse and Jockey, Chorlton cum Hardy

Since Holts took it over, they introduced their own bitter at £3.40 odd a pint.....yet the same drink is available for the standard £2.25 round the corner at their Spreadeagle pub.....what qualifies pubs on the green to ridiculously overprice???????

Sedge Lynn, Chorlton Cum Hardy

"i went here the other other day and was greeted by a man with no neck sitting on the table outside who was shouting racist abuse at passing asian women". How've I missed this place? Pure comedy in my book. "Man with No Neck" - I'll be in tomorrow!

Dulcimer, Chorlton cum Hardy

Beer quality consistently inconsistent (i.e. "cloudy" if Dennis isn't on) - avoided by most local real ale buffs. (And for what they charge..........)

The Bulls Head, Manchester

I agree with Mr Boswell, great pub, but HORRENDOUSLY overpriced. Mind you, someone's gotta pay for the landlord's regular monthly jaunts to the far flung corners of the earth........

The Bulls Head, Manchester

A wonderful old British style boozer with a mouth-watering array of guest real-ales if somewhat pricey. The fat, drunken, bespectacled regular at the corner of the bar with the 'Banana-Quiff' is worth a visit alone.

The Spread Eagle, Chorlton cum Hardy

Wonderful old style British boozer becoming increasingly popular with the disillusioned trendy bar types. Magnificent pint of Holts.
