The Midland, Matlock Bath

very curmudgeonly old bar staff when i went in, and a disgusting greasy chip smell pervading the place despite only 2 people dining at the time. very expensive bar meals despite all being accompanied by chips and frozen garden peas. pub has only limited opening times. appear to be actively discouraging customers whilst i was there.

The Boat Inn, Cromford

i was looking forward to visiting this pub, but despite its opening times being listed by the door, and arriving after opening time, it was still not open.

The Portland Arms, Hucknall

still shut thankfully, but have seen some movement recently. hope if it does reopen it does not attract the usual suspects, and have complaint-worthy noisy music on til stupid o'clock on the weekend
