Can't believe this fizzy lager chain pub got in the final of Pub of the Year. Must be a lot of dim students doing the voting.
Cheap rubbishy drinks and attractive barstaff maketh a pub not my friends (they'll never sleep with you anyway, the barstaff that is, you may get somewhere with the drinks tho).
If you want a decent pub kids, nip up the road to.... whoops, on second thoughts, stay in your Scream pubs pleeeeaaaase !

Andrew ( August 04 below ) trust me, Stella is just plain bad. Do your headache a favour and try drinking some proper beer !

The Sligachan Hotel, Sligachan
Anyone who moans about this pub is barking. Location is unbeatable - plus great ale and enough tables to get a plate of grub no matter how busy it is.
Yes, it's not gourmet fare, and teh bar is a bit pre-fab, but that is splitting hairs & missing the point.
Many a good night (and day, when the hurricanes come) spent in this place. Terrific.
