The Prince of Wales, Wilnecote
A true pub, best real ale and Landlord in the area. The beer has been bright and right everytime I've called in for one. Go out of your way for a good pint.

Good value lunch since refurb, friendly staff. If you want lunch in Tamworth centre, try it!

I eat here two or three times a week, food and beer is cheap particularly on Tuesday (steak-night). Service from bar staff is generally poor, but it seems to be getting better latley, often not enough staff for the number of customers at the bar,and an inefficient back-bar layout. But the food and drinks are cheap and you get what you pay for. Varied customer ages, but a large room with a no-smoking area.

Don't go, Some Ember Inns are OK but this is not one of them, poorly laid out, poor staff. Cross the river to the Tame Otter or better still the Red Lion at Hopwas a couple of 100 yards or so away.

The Horse and Jockey, Freeford
Pub in two rooms , one restaurant, one a bar. Furniture is typical pub catalogue stuff, but the main thing is Food and beer always good, large car park. would recommend to anyone.

The Fox Inn, Dosthill
I don't think the pipes have been cleaned since the old landlord left. go to Prince of Wales Wilnecote for real ale. If you want to play pool the table is quiete and drink bottled beer.
