The Roebuck, Hampton Hill

We have just moved to the area and i must say this place is my favourite. Having said that its DEFINATELY not for everyone. No music, very old crowd but sometimes we all feel like kicking back. Its just soooo relaxing. The hospitality is terrific and prices are unbelievably cheap.

Always good for a winter warmer or pint in the garden. Pop in if you fancy a bar packed full of character, great staff, top clientele and a massive range of beers, spirits, wines etc

See you there

The Queens Arms, Hammersmith

UPDATE!!

This pub has reopened as a split level, food upstairs, huge bar downstairs.

Only a week old so havent sampled the food yet but the menu looks like its a higher standard than burger and chips! Grilled Salmon salads, Steaks, Rissoto etc Ballpark 10 - 15

Couple of plasmas for sport and a good range of beers with prices to match the area, will definately be going back.

The Big Chill Bar, Shoreditch

I go here everytime im meeting friends for a Brick Lane smorgasboard!

Drinks are definately a little expensive but I think its worth it. Circa 3.50 for a pint 5 - 7 for a cocktail.

Trendy bar, great atmosphere, nice little outside seating area if its not too cold. Downright bizarre wall hangings and a good crowd of people.

Pop in for a drink, you wont be disappointed.

The Queens Arms, Hammersmith

This pub is CLOSED as of March 2006. It has been sold and is being redeveloped as a poncy bar/restaurant thing.

The Fez Bar, Putney

Went to Fez on Friday night as there isnt much choice after 11 in Putney. 8 entry.....for what? Music was terrible, sounded like it was trying to be house/drum n bass but in reality it was an endless trance CD turn up loud, well done for having speakers.

Drinks were an outrage. Stayed for a round of spirits and were told that we couldnt order single measures, doubles were compulsory. Not sure on the legality of an establishment with this policy but it was quite clear they were just draining all our cash without providing much in the way of entertainment.

After reading the only positive comment on this site from Tizer, its clear that my comments are shared with everyone else. Tizer, you wrote 'the doorstaff are good once they know you', thats ridiculous, sounds like a good way to turn people off ever going again. You are basically agreeing with everyone here.

Totally agree with the required overhaul of the ID checking system or lack thereof. Its a club not a kindergarten.

Instead of walking in the door, pool your money with your friends and get a cab to Fulham. As far as late licence clubs go this one needs a wake up call.
