The Royal George, Charing Cross Road

Now here was a real suprise, went out last Friday, now I came here years ago, before a gig, it was always that dingy little pub that you went too before a gig only because it was the closest place, the service was never good and it always looked dirty.
However things have most definatly changed, it looked great, it was well cared for, people eating at most tables, but still that same friendly vibe.
But the best bit was when, I ordered my pint of ale and was shocked, when the bar man actually took the time to tell me about a new guest ale they had, this was while the pub was busy and he was also serving someone else as well !!!
The ale was great and the rest of our night was fantastic, I will be back.

The Griffin, Shoreditch

I realise that Shoreditch is considered a very cool place for a night out, and this pub is very cool, the lack of care to the pub just makes it more fun, great crowd and atmoshere, BUT i do not like waiting at the bar for a drink for nearly 20 minuites, becuase they had only 3 people serving on a saturday night, one barmaid who never bothered to see who was next another spent most of her time talking to or serving what appered to be her friends, and the other one just keeped walking up and down without serving anyone. I will be back as the pub was great but please get some better staff

The Clachan, Soho

The ale range was great, could tell that it was well looked after, however the staff did not seem to have much Knowledge on Ales !
The atmoshere was rather quite, but enjoyable. The menu was rather basic which was a little disapointing, but the food arrived quickly tasted great and was well priced for cental London. I will go back, thanks for a fun night

The Castle, Angel, Islington

I found this place a little unfriendly, both the bar staff and the decor fall short.
