The Grapes, Wandsworth

This pub is the perfect antidote to the family friendly gastro pubs that dominate the area. It's a proper boozer with really friendly management. Amongst many other great features (already detailed in other reviews) it doesn't do meals so you can enjoy your beer without having to put up with the smell of someone else's fried food. I can't think of a better pub for miles around.

The Fulham Tup, Chelsea

The pub has now been converted into a French Restaurant. Sadly another Fulham pub bites the dust.

The Prince Albert, Notting Hill

Seems expensive and there's never enough bar staff. It's a lazy choice of pub as there's much better in the area.

The Anglesea Arms, Chelsea

I've been using the place for a few years and sadly I've notice a steady decline. The bar staff can be pretty obnoxious and it seems like Gloucester Road based tourists are finding the place more frequently. Perhaps someone has put The Anglesea in a guide book.
