The Angel On The Bridge, Henley-On-Thames

I love the location of this pub, but i found it very expencive. Although i did enjoy the beer they had.
We ordered food and the starter was delicious, but we were very dissapointed with our mains. My friend ordered the sea bas. Nothing wrong with the taste but the size of the meal was tiny.
I ordered the beer battered fish and chips. The fish was lovely but i was expecting home cooked chips, instead i was served what looked like McCain Oven Fries. When you pay between 9.99-12.99 for a mail meal i expect it to be to a better standard.

Dogma Bar and Kitchen, Reading

I like this place. The service is a bit slow but when most people are ordering cocktails then what do you expect. The deals they have on drinks are good and the place is nice and relaxing. It's great for a a couple of drinks after work on a Friday!

The Alehouse, Reading

This is a fantastic little pub. I visited it last weekend and was really taken back by how nice it was. I didn't realise the pub had so many little alcoves perfect for sitting in while you have a chat with your friands. Anyone who loves a proper pub with proper beer will love it! I Will be visiting again soon!

Still enjoy this pub on a Saturday lunch time. Good deals on the drinks. The only down side is the terrible state the womens toilets are always in. I wish they would get the doors fixed so they lock!!!

I like this pub. Went in last Friday with my friends and had cocktails served to us by really friendly bar staff. Very small place but cosy!

Tried out this pub for the first time a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. I was surprised how big it was inside and the real ale and cider were great. Will visit again!

Queen Elizabeth, Reading

This pub used to be great when Ros had it then it started to go down hill and get a bad rep. I don't think this pub is open at the moment but i would like it to be taken over by someone who enjoys running a cosy backstreet boozer and likes to interact with the regulars. The pub really did have the best people drinking in there and i really miss the laughs we all used to have. Bring back the good old days thats what i say!

Love this place! Great music and a real mix of people. Shame it always takes so long to get a drink, but it is always fun at the weekend!

GO DOWN THE ROAD TO THE QUEEN ELIZABETH. It has just re-opened and the new landlord Rob has turned the palce around. Great atmosphere and not all that expensive. Go on give it a try, it is one of the only REAL pubs left in West Reading!

The Bugle, Reading

Great pub if you don't mind the juke box turned up full volume and the TV's on at the same time. I am not complaining, i like it but best if your a bit drunk already before going in!

Unfortuanately Jackie the landlady has moved on and the pub is not the same. It still has most of the same faces but it just doesn't seem as good as it was, Farewell Jackie x

The Bank of Friendship, Highbury

I visited this pub last weekend and had a fantastic time. The atmosphere was great and drinks are resonable prices. The staff were very friendly and served a good pint. The landlord was really great he made me feel very welcome. Overall a great little boozer!

I agree with Nero, I really nice place to go drinking in now. Also they have a nice beer garden... Roll on the summer!!!

Yates's, Reading

Really bad attitude from all the bar staff. Also they only seem to ever have one staff on around 5 to 7 on week days which dosent make sense as a lot of people pop in for an after work drink. I have used this place on and off for a few years now and the place nerver changes. Also when i used to go there at the weekends there were always under age girls and boys drinking alco pops!

This is an ok pub.I have had a few good afternoon drinks in here. It is expencive and not a big pub but if you are in a good crowd of guys and youcan put up with the rolling stones being played all the time by Mark then it can be a good luugh!

O'Neills, Reading

I have visited this place a couple of times and i have to say i enjoyed both nights. Great for hen do's. I am 25 and some of the tunes really bring a smile to my face. You can dance around to bross and no-one takes the mick coz everyone else is doing the same! Good Laugh!!!

The Rose and Thistle, Reading

I used to be a regular in this pub but not anymore.
It is a nice pub to go to if you fancy some food but unfortunatly unless you are addicted to every sport knowen to man then it can get annoying. I like watching the football but do they have to have the tv's on all the time? I like to listen to a bit of music in the evenings, not be subjected to sky sports spanish football coverage. Also they do not have a juke box so you have to listen to the repeated cd they play all the time. I have to say it is great in the summer when you can sit outside in the large beer garden and enjoy the BBQ'S they put on at the weekends. But i wont be using this pub anymore. The Butler which is a little futher for me to walk to appeals more to me now. I would surrgest that anyone who enjoys the footie and likes to have a good crack then they should visit the Butler!

The Bank, New Southgate

I reviwed his pub not long ago and now i take back what i posted. The irish manager who had the pub for a few weeks has noe left and the place has gone down hill. Wont be going there again. If you want a nice pub to go to near by then pop down the road to Mollys bar!

I think this pub is great. I dont tend to go in the evening but i go on a saturday afternoon and it is really nice. Get the card so all the good drinks are cheap!

The Butler, Reading

I have just started going back to this pub as my old local has changed management for the worse.
I am really impressed with the place. It has a new landlady and the staff are all very friendly. Used to be no-one in there but now it is packed every friday and saturday night. Has a great juke box and pool is free on Mondays! A little expencive but worth it for the friendly atmosphere! A must for everyone!
