Dont know how someone named benefitcheat has the greatest name to be calling somewhere a bum bar but thats just my opinion! Sams Bar is what it is a cheap, reliable and full of characters. When there is trouble its quickly resolved by the regulars which stands alone when explaining the place. wouldnt take my mother inlaw but many a good time has been had with the lads in there.

Probably wiser for Landlady to not air her views on face book but she made a valid point, visitors to Horwich would be horrified that the Bay Horse Hotel is one of our top five pubs. Beer in the bowler is well kept, although my mate drinks Carlsberg which in recent weeks has been touch and go. Well done to you though for turning the place around and maybe dont vent to loudly next time, face book has a massive voice

Heard grumbles of this place re-opening, I pray to god they pick the Licensees right this time, good luck who ever you might be! Fingers crossed it's just a rumour though.

This place has been my favorite for many years and although the landlady seems a little bit more merry than most it adds to the atmospere.

From the talk I hear around the village it sounds like the only people who need to visit this place is Bolton Environmental Health, and anyone wants to tell me I should try it for myself then is a big NO THANK YOU.
