The Slug and Lettuce, Wimbledon

Some of the staff are appalling and are unfortunatly dragging down the few decent staff they do have.

The Lamb Brewery, Chiswick

Went on a Wednesday afternoon, chatted to the manager while he poured my pint, got a discount, fantastic.
Went to the toilet and found no toilet paper, came out to ask for some and no one was around - for 20 minutes.
I left.

The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

Sadly I cannot give a rating for this pub as I didn't manage to get served. I arrived when the rugby clock on the tv said 61 minutes and had not even been acknowledged of my existence when full time came up at 81 minutes! There were about four people waiting/being served when I arrived followed by about 7 others who were served despite arriving AFTER me.
Perhaps they couldn't see me as I'm only 6.5ft and 15 stone.

The Crescent, Mornington Crescent

Met friends here before heading to Koko across the road. Was relatively busy but the staff managed to serve in pretty quick fashion and in good manner. I was pleasantly surprised by the draught products available that were not ales, very impressive. Estrella Dam, Brooklyn Lager, Red Stripe, Erdinger and about 10 more...

Walkabout, Wimbledon

Now called Billabong Bar but is an exact clone of the Walkabout it once was.

The Walkabout, Covent Garden

I see the novelty of bottled beers from Australia being a draw for the homesick, also being able to watch Aussie sports that other places are not showing. But other than that it is not much of a draw. The tables are filthy and sticky, the food menu I opened at the bar had someone else's dinner smeared across the inside, and has been mentioned below there are too many football yobs hanging about the bar. Whoever does their on screen advertising for upcoming sports needs to know how the teams are spelt by the way, it a bit embarrassing.
Good idea for a pub but poorly executed. I'm available for hire by the way.

Sullivans, Weybridge

Freindly staff, attentive service, great food. Regular live music and dj, good selection of wine, but not one handpull ale.

O'Neills, Wimbledon

Okay place, like many other chains. Nothing spectacular. Found the staff to be friendly and attentive, food was promptly served and was quite nice - for a chain. They no longer have Sky Sports so got a rest from the football blaring out elsewhere at the time. The place could do with some T.L.C maintenance wise but that is quite common with many places.

The Barley Mow, Hersham

No hand pull beer as has been mentioned below, one bottled ale only. Lots of live football on many screens, occasional live music. Apart from that not really recommended.

Been here a few times recently with friends, it's your standard high street chain, perfectly fine at what they do but nothing that will blow your mind. There are often drink and food promotions running so can sometimes be good value if you choose carefully. Not much of an atmosphere, however the staff are very helpful and efficient. Plenty of choice drinks wise, but check the dates on your bottled drinks, I was given a bottle of beer 9 months out of date on the Monday, only to be given another one on the Wednesday. So no one checked the dates 48 hours after me letting them know, not good.

The Grotto Inn, Weybridge

Okay place, have Asahi on draught. Show a lot of football on a couple of screens either side of the bar in the middle.

The Prince of Wales, Esher

Went with a party of 15 pre booked, our table was ready an hour after the booked time, it was a Sunday and very busy. Not a problem, we waited outside in the garden with a round of drinks. We all ordered starters which arrived 50 minutes after ordering, however, the food was amazing. All 15 people agreed with their choice and all plates were returned completely empty. The main courses arrived promptly after the starter plates were cleared and once again all the food was of excellent quality.
The service for drinks was incredibly slow, both for drinks served to the table and for drinks ordered at the bar, the staff not knowing about how to prepare or even what they stocked didn't help matters. At one stage the lady who took my order wandered off and performed several other tasks around the pub before returning to prepare my drinks while I was left standing waiting. Very strange.

The Star Inn, Guildford

Echo some of the previous comments. The whole pub is in need of a big clean. For the entire 1 and a half visit the table next to me had dirty dinner plates left unattended, I was only 1 of 3 customers in the place, so the staff on duty we not exactly rushed off their feet. The lager was a little on the flat side but not a disaster.
Have passed this place many times before my first visit and have passed it many times since with no intention of returning.
