The Smugglers Tavern, Coulsdon

Excellent pint of Guiness can be had at the Smugglers, one of the best I have had including Ireland.

Judging by the reaction to the NO smoking policy it would appear that it gets a resounding thumbs up, with the exception of one cretin who would appear to have lost the power to his legs to venture into the designated smoking area or outside. The pub is far better now, although haven't sampled the food as yet.

The Midday Sun, Chipstead

The best karoke in Surrey they advertise, Karoke on Mondays was (not so much now)tolerable, karoke on Fridays is unbearable.

The Midday Sun, Chipstead

Loads of flat screen TV's to watch the sport on, The food tends to have mood swings one week awful another week not to bad, The veg is always the same, over cooked as a rule. Dont go there with the dog as they no longer allow them in. Kids must be off the premises by 9oC. even if outside.

The Woodman, Woodmansterne

Use to go to this pub frequently until a change of manager ruined it, apparently this pub has now had another change of manager and it is on its way back up. The garden if maintained is good in summer and fenced off to stop your little darlings from venturing astray. The beer has never been brilliant but is acceptable as long as it hasn't gone up to pay for the spruce-up the pub had a while back.

Good pub to go to if your into Lotus & Caterham 7's they meet up there every 3rd Thursday evening, quite a spectacle in the summer months. Beers not bad either.

Found this pub to really quaint, good selection of real ales, and pleasant food and surroundings. And they dont mind the dog.
