The Crown and Sceptre, Kensington

I have reviewed this pub twice before and still have more praise to give. Have been drinking in this area for years and this pub has had the best guest beers bar none. 3 Different 'Old Ales' in feb, 2 milds and 2 porters. Have not seen Old Ales in w14 before. I did get to try 4 of the Harvey's ales they had on offer during the month and look forward to trying the Hogsback Spring and HBB (formerly Hair of the Hog?) that the landlord told me were coming soon.

The Kensington, Kensington

Despite claiming to have got an award for its beer this pub has not got the consistency of either the crown & sceptre or the radnor. Even their cider tastes like it has not been cleaned in months. No pride in their pride!!

The Crown and Sceptre, Kensington

This pub has the best varying real ale range in the neighbourhood. The beer is always in top form. As it is so close to the train station it is a great after work stop. The evening menu has a genuine mexican flavour (2-4-1 on saturday) which I enjoyed with a pint of burton bridge damson porter. Still a great pub that everyone who likes real ales should visit. Nice and clean as well.

The Hand and Flower, Kensington

Refurb nice but this pub is designed to serve Olympia trade shows and you get that feeling from the staff and the price list! The Crown & Sceptre is actually closer to the train station and has better beer by far. Try the radnor as well. Not bad but victim of its own location really not a local nor a venue pub nor much at all.

The Archery Tavern, Bayswater

This pub a great place to spend a couple of hours drinking good beer and either chatting or playing darts. Traditional decor is attractive and unspoilt. Great mix of customers and nicely priced too.

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

fantastic place. No theme just good beer and good chat. Go visit it and remind yourself what pubs are meant to be like.

The Albion, West Kensington

This was a decent pub a few years ago. now it isn't. Ales never consistent and it seems that being drunk and swearing is a prerequisite to entry

The Crown and Sceptre, Kensington

This is a really good pub. The real ales change regularly and are kept in top form. Mexican food is authentic and delicious don't expect tex-mex the chefs are from Mexico! Tuesday quiz was really popular and the atmosphere in the pub always seems relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a pub to get to know better

The Radnor Arms, Kensington

Nice locals pub and good beer. Friday night quiz quite popular. May be brought down soon so get there quick and sign the petition to keep what is becoming a rarity in London ie. a traditional quality pub.

The Kensington, Kensington

been to this so called pub twice ( twice too many) dodgy pipes, dodgy pool tables and dodgy punters. Live entertainment good though, best pub fight i've seen for quite some time. Recommend avoidance

what an immediate change paul has made to this pub. Beer is much better, toilets don't smell and the upstairs bar will be open soon hopefully. Keep up the good work Paul.
