Finally closed down, she never deservered this pub and she has ruined it.. And well said DeeDee...
Whoever takes this place on have alot of riff raff to get rid of.....

When was you there? I wouldnt say staff logging on as only 3 staff and that includes management, Yes maybe slacking of late but that is due to the pub closing and they still can close at any time as developers now own it.. The pub has a good rating on the real ales...

Been to this pub a few times now and i think its lovely, the barstaff are nice and friendly and they do a dice game between 3 and 6 mon to fri, If you throw double 6 the drink is on the house, throw a odd number then its half price and even is full price...its a very clean pub now called The Hat and Tun

This pub is very expensive �3.80 for a pint of lager but the staff were nice and friendly

Like this little pub, lovely service and hidden away and the burning toast is the lovely toasties they do..

Well this pub is now open under new management and it is going to remain a proper pub and NOT a gastro bar, i think it will become a little gold mine

This is lovely litle pub always felt welcome...

previous comment? I used to go to this pub alot but then last August it was my birthday so i had a group of people and we were sitting outside as it was still warm, we had a few bottles of wine on the table, then at 9.45 they turned all the lights off outside and said they were closing, made us feel very unwelcome. i took and my wine and went to the pub round the corner S & S. The only thing about the duke is the rose wine is cheap and nice.

The Blind Beggar, Whitechapel
This must be the most expensive pub in the East End, �4.00 a pint of Pride.. shame as the beer garden is nice and not many of them around anymore..
