I went in this pub for the first time in ages the other day - the previous time it was pokey and unfriendly and I felt really uncomfortable. What a change! The staff are really friendly now, and the beer garden is lovely. Great service, great food.

The Dove, Bethnal Green

The Dove is definitely a good winter pub but I find it a bit gloomy for the summer, unless you're lucky enough to get one of the street tables. The food is more interesting than your basic pub fare with a range of burgers and sausages.

The Park Tavern, Southfields

What a lovely pub! Perfect for a relaxed Sunday, with great food from a menu that changes regularly. If it's a nice day then the beer garden is a real sun trap, and the staff are very friendly. I will definitely be making it my regular.
