THIS GREAT VILLAGE PUB IS UNDER THREAT OF CLOSURE IT HAS BEN CLOSED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS NOW.
WELL ITS GOOD NEWS I WENT INTO THE PLOUGH TODAY AND ASKED THE NEW PUB MANAGER WHEN IS IT TO REOPEN , IT`S NEXT THURSDAY FEBRUARY THE2ND 2012 !!!!!! SO THERE IS A GOD THIS ARRIVES JUST IN TIME TO GET US ALL RE-HYDRATED,THE NEW GUY DID LOOK LIKE HE WAS GOING TO STAY FOR A WHILE AS THEY WERE TAKING BEDS UPSTAIRS. I AM ALSO LIKE MANY OTHERS IN GREAT HASELY SUPPORTING THE COMMUNAL OWNERSHIP SCHEME WHICH NOW HAS ITS OWN WEBSITE WHERE A SAMPLE LETTER CAN BE DOWNLOADED EXPRESSING DISLIKE FOR THE PUB TO BE SOLD FOR DEVELOPMENT TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE COUNCIL S.O.D.C. TO NOT EVEN TO CONSIDER GRANTING PLANNING PERMISSION THIS PUB MEANS SO MUCH TO THE RESIDENTS OF GREAT HASELY AND EXISTING CUSTOMERS LIKE ME.

a friendly pub with bags of character . good conversation from the host who made me and my daughter most welcome. very good affordable menu and a pint of real ale to die for. lots of further improvements are planned for this great hostelry which also has a child friendly garden.

JUST MY LUCK I AM HOPING TO BUY A HOUSE IN MILTON COMMON AND THR NEARBYE PUB THE THREE PIGEONS APPEARS TO BE CLOSED,IS THIS PERMANENT ?, IS IT LIKELY TO RE-OPEN ? SOMEONE MUST KNOW ? HELP MIKETHEGLASS

This pub is terrific I love "Georges bar" at the back which is dedicated to music with some thing on every night of the week, karaoke is on Tuesdays and Saturdays and well run by Nattalie who is the daughter of the talented musician and singer Alan the landlord.
This bar is air conditioned and sells london pride on the hand pump.

I WENT TO THIS PUB TODAY WITH MY WIFE, NICE PUB WITH LOTS OF CHARACTER FOR A TYPICALLY ENGLISH PUB THE FOOD IS WIERD, THEY ONLY SERVE TAPPAS AT �2 EACH I PAID �2 FOR A TINY BOWL OF CURRY MADE FROM LEFTOVER PRE COOKED CHICKEN AND THEN PAID �2 FOR A SMALL BOWL OF RICE! MY WIFE HAD A SPAG BOL WHICH SHE SAID WAS GOOD. THE KARAOKE SIGN IS UP BUT THEY DON`T HAVE IT!
I`LL GIVE THE FOOD A MISS HERE IN FUTURE WOULD GO AGAIN FOR A BEER AND KARAOKE IF IT STARTS AGAIN.

IWENT TO THIS PUB A FEW WEEKS AGO THEY HAD A ONE OFF KARAOKE WHICH WAS TERRIFIC THE BAR SNACKS WERE GOD VALUE AND THE FULLERS PRIDE WAS ORGASMIC. ADD TO THIS A GREAT FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE AND CHARMING BAR STAFF I THOUGHT I HAD DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN. I HOPE THEY WILL HAVE ANOTHER KARAOKE SOON MIKE

The Soldiers Return, West Ruislip
This pub has been my local for 40 years it now has reached an alltime low, successive changes in ln managers the introduction of 5 televisions has driven out the once appreciated older customers add to this louts f---ing and blinding at the 5 tvs in the guise of football.PUNCH TAVERNS ARE THE LATEST OWNERS AND SEEM TO HAVE NO PUB RUNNING SKILLS AT ALL!

The Plough, Great Haseley
This is a proper village pub with a great cross section of customers who all get on well, real ales in abundance and sensible priced pub food. the tenant landlord Steve makse every one welcome and is mantaining the good balance between drinkers and diners. the garden is popular and families are welcome.
I love this pub and its users it is now owned by the customers and villagers which will protect its future . mike
