Cross Keys, Swansea

Mediocre Sunday carvery today, pretty tasteless to say the least! Asked for a pint of tap water and was told that they don`t serve water in pint glasses only halves, another idiotic rule by the fool who runs this place!

The White Rose, Mumbles

Such a shame that The White Rose has deteriorated to such an extent that many locals and past regulars won`t go there anymore. Stinking toilets that don`t seem to get checked, dirty and grubby bar areas and a patio with overflowing ashtrays and tables that are never wiped clean and caked with bird droppings. Majority of the staff are surly and seem to think they are doing you a favour by serving you, they seem more interested in texting on their phones and huddling in a corner chatting to avoid the customers, never seen a pub run like it! Total lack of management, needs a total overhaul.

The Pilot, Mumbles

Great to see The Pilot open again with people running it that are truly dedicated to the job. Fantastic service, very clean and a great range of real ales that are kept meticulously.

The Village Inn, Mumbles

Always a great welcome and a cracking Sunday lunch cooked by Tracey and Sam....on my best list!

The Famous Bear, Mumbles

Half knocked down and workmen just started on pulling the rest of it down...another one bites the dust!

The Beaufort Arms, Mumbles

Tis back open, taken over by the former landlord of The Hancock.

The William Hancock, Mumbles

Taken over by new couple (Heather and Reece) about 6 months ago and they`ve turned this place around, very clean and bright, great bar staff and a cracking pint! Ten out of ten from me.

The Albert, St James's

What a shame to hear that such a grand old pub so popular with locals and tourists is serving up a carvery. Pub is owned by Punch and nothing surprises me with these guys! Many of the grand old pubs of London that were once owned by Grand Metropolitan are now owned by Punch and they really don`t seem to have a clue...what a waste!

The Bank Statement, Swansea

Met friends there last night and within 10 minutes of sitting down we were all scratching our legs...the carpet is absolutely stinking and must be infested with fleas!!! People eating there and children there aswell. Have spoken to their head office this morning and the local environmental health department. Disgusting!

The Kingsbridge, Gorseinon

A great local that isn`t just for locals! An old Whitbread pub that as usual the big brewers managed to screw up, now run by chris and his wife as a tenancy and what a transformation! great food served in the restaurant and the lounge, very friendly bar staff, although the bar area can be a bit hostile if your face isn`t known! well worth a visit!

Cross Keys, Swansea

seems to of declined in recent years, not so busy at it used to be, probably because they charge 2.35 a pint when u can go arround the corner and get a pint for 1.35!!! very expensive, what have they done to the `beer garden` too!? looks like a concentration camp with all the halogen lamps on poles! not very tempting menu either...poor effort really.
