Been in the Tup alot lately and I like the new boys Big Jim and Danny boy. Much more friendly again. Beers in top condition too. Had a lovely pint or three of Spitfire.

The Hare and Hounds, Claygate

Great to see that Dan Gregory is back. He should sort the pub out again. This pub was flying but standards will be revived I am sure. The gentlemen of the road have been shown the door, he tells me

The GlassHouse, New Malden

Great to see it has now opened. We have been waiting for this type of addition to New Malden for years. A lovely refurbishment has created a calm, comfortable and attractive feel to the place. The menu has a range of French and British classics - we had the steak and mussells - both excellent. The sharps Doombar was in top condition. There are great wines where they only charge a 10 markup. We will be back

This pub is amazing. there is always something going on week in week out. We have had some of our best parties here and Saturday nights are always a blast. The best Bonfires in the world.

The Hare and Hounds, Claygate

This place just keeps getting better and better. Looks like it is now the number 1 place in the village. The big news this week is that Buzz - a kiwi guy I knew in Wimbledon has just arrived to run the bar. It will now get even mor elively and fun. L'auberge remains an absolute gem - with some outstanding well priced food.

Whyte Harte Hotel, Bletchingley

What a lovely pub. There aren't many old inns like this about - well we haven't found them. We live in Crawley and were told of this very tradtiional pub by some friends who stayed here on their way off on holiday. Evelyn and Harry were great hosts. The real ale was in excellent condition and we liked the wine list. We will be back to try the Sunday Roast.

The North Pole, North Kensington

We live in thearea and this pub has been transformed after a long and sad decline. A very clever use of north pole related insignia on the walls and a complete revamp in terms of service and products makes this the best pub in the area now. Good real ales and a very nice crowd. Food good too -ate a really good steak and kidney pie. We will be back

The Telegraph , Putney Heath

We live in Putney and have been waiting for this pub to be revived for years. We are frequent walkers and cyclists past the pub.It is now a big part of our lives. The staff are incredibly friendly and at the weekend the atmnosphere is both laid back and really inviting. Our food has so far been very good and we look forward to using it more as the winter draws in especially for Sunday Roasts.

The design and ambience is brilliant

The Fox and Grapes, Wimbledon Common

I do not agree with the last posting. The food has never been better and the locals at the bar all disappear in the early evening. Sunday roasts are tremendous. For friendly service this is still the most welcoming pub in Wimbledon
