The Peyton Arms, Stoke Lyne

Interesting and quaint, good Hook Norton ales and a pleasant feel. I would recommend a visit because I like this style of pub.

The Halfway House, Pitney

Clclyed to this pub and stayed overnight in a lovely B & B in the village half a mile away. A true gem and worthy of its status.

The Newbold Comyn Arms, Leamington Spa

Quite away from the town centre but worth the trip. We sat outside in the glorious sunshine and had a very pleasant bite to eat. I couldn't falut the ale either as it was all in good condition. I could imagine it to be a bit bleak in the winter but the warm welcome from the landlord was quite refreshing. Good pubs are hard to find in leamington but this was well worthwhile.

The Punch Bowl, Warwick

In Warwick only last week and stopped here on recommendation. There was a decent choice of ales on offer as well as friendly staff. Pleasent enough and amongst the best pubs in Warwick.

The Church End Brewery Tap, Nuneaton

Church End have made a very good job of adding a brewery tap to their plant. The location is a bit strange but the ales were good and the outside seating area was very plesant although it started raining whilst we were there. 4 Church End ales were on offer all of which were on good form. Not really very pub like but well worth a trip out at a weekend providing your not the one driving!!

The Alexandra Arms, Rugby

A lovely little boozer just off the town centre. This is the home of the Atomic & Alexandra breweries. The graden is a real bonus and we spent a very pleasant afternoon just enjoying the ales on offer. Yes it need a bit of TLC but this is a proper unspoit pub!!!

The Jolly Abbott, Hillmorton

Went in last week to do the quiz on Thursday. I noticed the handpumps had no ale available and was told that it dindnt sell very well around here. Not a very good start. To be fair the pub was busy but im afraid I normally judge a pub on what it serves and if its in good condition. Its hard to go wrong with stella but I shan't be going back to the quiz again!! Shame

The Merchants Inn, Rugby

Rugby now has a number of excellent pubs and this is no exception. I have been on numerous ocassions and always been greeted with a smile and a good choice of well kept ales. Keep it up!

The Victoria Inn, Rugby

Well what can I say. The place was rammed with a band about to strike up. I couldn't belive the choice of ales on the bar but getting to it was a problem. I was only intending to pop in for one drink but found myself still trying to talk over the band an hour later. Some recent work has taken place in the newly refurbished toilets which were immaculate! I thought the Dyson was a nice touch. This is the best real ale pub that I have been into this year but I will make sure I go in on a quieter night next time!!

The Oak, Warwick

A lovely little pub with a nice atmosphere. The beer range was a little dissapointing but was in fine form. The staff seemed very friendly and I will certainly try this once again.
