The Grenadier, Belgravia

Smashing little boozer. Went there on Saturday afternoon, sun was shining, birds were trying to have sex with the bees, usual summer's day. Sat outside on the cobbled street, chatting, drinking. Not sure about the French bar-man's ability to pour the the perfect pint of Guinness though. Lot's of happy people.

The Ship and Shovell, Charing Cross

Nice pub.

25 Jun 2007 14:55

Bar 38, Reading

Don't remember seeing any chavs, but I could see how a place like this would attract the people below. Average. There are better drinking establishments in Reading.

The Griffin, Caversham

A lovely little pub. Good selection of ale. Sunday roast looks good, but didn't have any cos I'd already eaten. Pleasant staff.

The Glassblower, Piccadilly

Nice. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Cheers to the barman from Stockport and the Sudoku champion sat in the corner. I don't remember seeing many tourists which is a plus. Didn't see anything that even resembled a theiving little tinker.

Ben Crouch's Tavern, Fitzrovia

Top boozer. Great atmosphere. Music may have been too loud for some. Didn't know you could reserve tables but I'll try that one next time!!

Wyldes, Bury

Not bad.

11 Dec 2006 03:21

The Bar Bolton, Bolton

Definately worth a visit. Good crowd of people. Pricey? I thought 3 for a pint was reasonable - safe in the knowledge that local idiots, chavs and ASBO kids can't afford to come in.

11 Dec 2006 03:14

The Bell and Crown, Chiswick

Quality pub.

22 Nov 2006 03:41

The Slug and Lettuce, Richmond

Ah, I see. My sincerest apologies oh anonymous one.....

11 Oct 2006 01:58

The Three Tuns, Windsor

Rude staff? Not in this place. Staff are great, good selection of drinks and a jukebox with Guns n' Roses Greatest Hits on it. Fantastic.

19 Aug 2006 05:41

The Morning Star, Datchet

Film directors, air traffic controllers, lawyers and policemen? Are they all members of a secret cult? Masons? Stonecutters? Terence Trent-D'arby Appreciation Society? Personally, I like to walk into a pub knowing that there's no chance of me getting lynched, boy. GO TO THE STAG INSTEAD.

29 Jul 2006 02:38

The Pitcher and Piano, Richmond

0/10. Why? Full of pretentious b*stards who all look the same - spikey blonde-tinted hair, wearing paint-on pink or yellow t-shirts. 4 members of staff behind the bar, 2 customers at the bar, and it still took twenty minutes to get served. Waiter service also cack.

14 Jul 2006 18:09

B@1 (Be At One), Covent Garden

Worth the visit if you like cocktails, especially during happy hour. Bar staff good, know there stuff. You might think it's small, but have you been to the one in Richmond? It's like my living room.

14 Jul 2006 18:04

The Bell And Compass, Charing Cross

It's ok as far as "somewhere to start off" goes. They sell Paulaner in here which was a good thing. But 8.80 for a double JD&coke and a pint of Paulaner? 4/10.

14 Jul 2006 18:00

Waxy's Little Sister, Piccadilly Circus

Thought this place was ok. Staff friendly, nice indoors, didn't know there was an upstairs bit!

2 Jul 2006 11:00

The Intrepid Fox, Soho

Great. Next time I go I'll have to wear black. Service was friendly, music was good, and the ppl were ok. Sorry for spilling your drink S!!!! Oh, and I met Capn' Jack Sparrow in there too, well, a lookalike.

2 Jul 2006 10:58

The Nags Head, Belgravia

A delightful little boozer.

18 Jun 2006 23:12

The Slug and Lettuce, Richmond

Went back to this place. Please forgive me. Wasn't allowed to sit in the outdoor seating area because we weren't dining. Having an outdoor seating area and not being able to use it kind of defeats the object of having a pub on the riverside. Fools.

10 Jun 2006 02:45

The Shakespeare's Head, Holborn

Nice pub. Full of suit-wearing big city folk, that look more like dodgy car salesman. Staff on the ball and pleasant.

26 May 2006 02:40

Vanilla Bar, Windsor

Tried to get in again on the weekend, you guessed it, "no more men". Another 0/10 from me. My advice? Go home.

8 May 2006 03:19

The King and Castle, Windsor

This place has now been refurbished, and is much better than before. Nice outdoor area, indoors is great too. But it's only a matter of time before the scum who used to frequent there pre-refurbishment find out it's open again. And you have to pay to get in after certain times on Fri and Sat nights. Good choice of drinks, well priced. It'll be a great shame to lose this place to the Slough pikeys/chavs in the very near future.

8 May 2006 03:15

Red Lion, Langley

Nice pub during the day, ok at night. Friendly staff, good selection of ales. Menu looks good. A bit Chavtastic though, but what do you expect in Slough?

18 Apr 2006 13:32

Vanilla Bar, Windsor

Bouncer didn't let me in cos I'm a bloke. Therefore this place gets a nice round 0/10 from me, ya bastards. "No more men", yeah, I'll wait outside while my girlfriend goes in and has a few drinks on her own.

18 Apr 2006 13:28

Barracuda, Ealing

Don't do it. Chavs, rude boyz (got to spell it with a "z"). King of Bling is too nice a term to describe people in here, the term Gypsy Kings of Liz Duke Bling is more appropriate. Got asked by one of the Rude Boyz "where you get dat cigar bro?", actually my ill educated Southallesque buddy, it's just a cigar. There's no "bro" on the end of it. Music? What music? Oh you call that music? Knock it down and try starting again, you can't polish a terd.

5 Mar 2006 04:35

The North Star, Ealing

It's ok. Nowt special. One drink and move on. Bouncers terribly rude after last orders, especially the grandpa bouncer, watch out for him. He kind of ruined the moment when you're enjoying a nice pint of Deuchars. Cigarette machine in the non smoking area, why? So all the non smokers can look and point at us in disgust? People smoke in the non smoking area in this place anyway.

5 Mar 2006 04:25

Havana, Windsor

Good for a late night drink on the weekend, no proper beer. Cocktail drinks not as good as they used to be. Where's the barman who made me that very nice Strawberry Cheesecake some time ago? Overall, had an above average chav free night! Cheers to the B52 two.........

27 Feb 2006 00:21

The Chandos, Trafalgar Square

Nice pub. Had a nice pint of Sam Smith's Alpine Lager. That's right, I used the words "nice" and "lager" in the same sentence. Food menu looked good, sandwiches looked huge and served with plenty of chips. Will definately visit again.

7 Feb 2006 14:20

B@1 (Be At One), Richmond

Too small, too hot, great for cocktails, especially at happy hour. Worth the trip.

18 Dec 2005 19:21

The Slug and Lettuce, Windsor

No longer a slug and lettuce and it's still shit.

18 Dec 2005 19:17

The Twickenham Tup, Twickenham

Average pub. A place to go for one then move on. Ordered a Springbok and got it, in a thimble! Music was quite good.

18 Dec 2005 14:24

The Kings Arms, Waterloo

Great pub. Great beer. Great food.

18 Dec 2005 14:12

The Warwick, Soho

This is not a pub - no pub grub, no beer, not even anything on draft, no fruities. JD and coke was my drink of the night, prices reasonable compared to other London places. Happy Hour between 5 and 7 sounds good so probably worth a visit then. Clients here won't move for anything, just push your way through. The Irish pub down the road looked better.

18 Dec 2005 14:08

The Royal Oak, Windsor

Nice pub but far too expensive. Looks like an ordinary pub, it's like being in an ordinary pub, but the prices certainly are not ordinary (12+ for 2 pints and a JD) as Peter Kay says - "you should be wearing a striped jumper and a mask.....". Can get a bit smoky, I know because I was the cause of it.

16 Dec 2005 18:36

The Harte and Garter, Windsor

It seems that the chavs have moved from the King and Castle to here. Not worth the trip. Makes me want to burn things just to fit in with the crowd.

16 Dec 2005 18:30

The Whip and Collar, Iver

Very nice, definately go back. Good choice of ales. Staff and locals very friendly, keep it up people.

16 Dec 2005 18:26

The Swan Hotel, Staines

Nice pub. I wasn't a Fuller's fan but got the taste for Anniversary and Discovery. I imagine it'll be nice to go back here during the summer. Staff friendly, and there's a curry house accross the road.

16 Dec 2005 18:22

The Trooper, Windsor

Friendly pub. Beer fantastic. And there's a good indian next door if the Trooper's stopped serving food. This pub is situated away from the busy high street and the main shopping area so you're unlikely to be pestered by tourists, hoodies or chavs.

29 Nov 2005 10:49

The Royal Stag, Datchet

Nice one. Hoegaarden on tap so it's sold to me. Freindly staff and punters. Can't say much about food but had the leek and potato soup once and that was nice. Keep it up.

29 Nov 2005 10:44

The Morning Star, Datchet

Crap for beer. Service not great, too late for refurbishment, let's knock it down and start again. Or just knock it down. Not a freindly place, the term BNP comes to mind - British National Pub - if you know what I mean.

29 Nov 2005 10:39

All Bar One, Windsor

Too expensive for chavs so you won't see any in there which is a plus. Food pricey but nice, good place if you like lager, personally, I prefer the real stuff. Friendly staff but then they're only after your money.

23 Sep 2005 17:05

The Slug and Lettuce, Richmond

Not too impressed. Like any other Slug and Lettuce, you're better off outside.

23 Sep 2005 16:59

The Carpenters Arms, Windsor

Finally found a place in Windsor that's not full of squaddies, chavs and Vicki Pollards. Nice one Carpenters Arms, you're a saviour. Great pub.
