The Victoria Arms, Binfield

I am not a big fan of Fullers beer but normally there is a good guest beer on. This place does well because it's the only place within miles where you can drink decent beer and watch sport.
The downsides are: it is ridiculously expensive and some of the cliquey locals are the rudest, most arrogant people you could possibly hope to barge into you without apologising. It's their pub their doing you a favor allowing you in.

The Brewhouse, Poole

Great pub stood at the bar tasting the Milk St beers which inevitably got me into conversation with the beer "clued up" publicans and locals. Watched some eating food from local take aways - it's a locals' pub. Why aren't there more of them?

The Sandacres Free House, Sandbanks

Ditto the earlier post. Walked in to find the staff really welcoming, a few real ales on and the food traditional with gargantuan portions. Good to see that this kind of pub was doing a roaring trade on a Tuesday night.

The Cricketers, Warfield

This was a great pub a few years ago, but has had the misfortune of having a landlord that neglected it for years and relief managers in situ until a decision be made about it's future. No food no debit/credit card facilities, ropey beer the loyal punters deserve more.

Goose At The Station, Bracknell

I started going in this pub when they had the real ale festival around April time. I can see why there are negative comments but I have never seen any trouble, the real ales and cheap but very good quality and the young bar staff are surprisingly knowledgeable about the beer. It really ain't that bad. Noisy but less of an undercurrent than other pubs in Bracknell.
