Cormorant, Portchester

Used to go in this pub years ago with my parents. We lived in Castle Street. It was a lovely place then. (1960's) Sounds like it still is. I will go and visit again soon.

The Highwayman, Cannards Grave

Was not impressed with this pub. The beer (St Austell) was cloudy and didn't taste good. Changed it for the other one on, can't remember what it was, and it was the same. The Landlord or Manager said it had recently been changed and was the top of the barrel! Top of the barrel?? Real Ale isn't served from the top!! Carvery was nice though. Hot and tasty, apart from chewy sprouts.

The Swan Inn, Sturminster Newton

Had a day out walking and stopped at this pub for lunch on New Years Day. Sadly, the kitchen was closed, but the atmosphere was warm and friendly

The Tom Cobley, Spreyton

What a lovely friendly Pub. I went there one evening when staying close by and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Roger and customers were very welcoming. I am determined to go back again when next down that way and sample the food and hopefully stay the night.
