The Black Horse, Grassington

Pleasantly surprised at the alterations to this pub since our last visit a year ago. The bar has been moved and the decor updated. I understand that all the bedrooms have also been updated. There was a good selection of beers- I had Abbots- and the bar was much busier than I have seen it for years. There was a good friendly atmosphere and it seems that the pub is becoming very popular again.

The New Prospect Inn, Halifax

Pleasant local with lovely views over Halifax. Nice outside seating area and excellent food with special value for money offers most days. Friendly staff. Two hand pump beers. Highly recommended.

The Red Rooster, Brighouse

Deservedly very popular with real ale drinkers -mainly "mature" males. Stone floors and easily the best pub for miles for choice of hand-pulled beers.
