The Wheel Inn, Ashford

We went here for an early fathers day lunch, with 2 small children and it was excellent, they managed to squeeze us in and we ordered Roast dinners all round. The food was not bad, Potatoes and veg undercooked but lovely meat and gravy with lots to go round, well priced (9 for a roast) and served by friendly and welcoming people who obviously where proud of the pub.

Good real ale selection and nice seasonal menu on the wall.

The pub did not seem particularly set up for children, no play area (But I think there may have been one across the road) but as the food arrived so quickly and efficiently it worked well.

I would go back but feel it is more suitable for adults as a place to go for an evening meal.

The Halfway House, Challock

Nice pub - Near some lovely walks in Kings wood. The service was friendly and welcoming and it serves good quality pub grub. The food was served quickly, was piping hot and well made.

It has a GREAT play area for children in the garden and ample parking. I would recommend this place particularly if you have a family.

The Woolpack Inn, Warehorne

Good food and nice atmosphere. It is overpriced (14.00 for pork belly on mash) but in a lovely setting. I would recommend looking at other pubs in the area over this one.
