The Tide End Cottage, Teddington

The Tide End has been subtly refurbished inside with main change being the extension of the rear dining area from what was an outside decking, although plenty of outside seating remains front and back of the pub. The atmosphere is cosy, the beer's good and the menu, although I have yet to taste any of it, appears an above average selection of pub grub.

Duke of Clarence, Hampton Hill

Tried to have a pint at lunchtime but it was all locked up - looks like it has closed.

The Clock House, Teddington

This has to be the best pub in Teddington now if you want a cosy, convivial and friendly environment to enjoy a pint of Pride, Landlord or Twickenham ales. Most of the old King's Head crowd have found refuge here after the disappointing makeover of their old haunt.

The Kings Head, Teddington

Well, at 7.80 for a pint of Pride and a pint of Becks, and 80 for two steaks and a bottle of wine, it's not a place for those on a budget. Everything has been beautifully decked out but the pub feels a bit like a hotel lounge (five star, mind) and the restaurant is definitely a dining room, all tables and chairs and never the twain shall meet. One misses the space and the sofas of the old place and the more relaxed atmosphere to food. The staff are young, well trained and ironically not French; the menu is a rather eclectic but somewhat limited mix of brasserie and bar food, not to be eaten in the bar, of course. Not quite what I had hoped for but perhaps the formula will evolve into something less overtly professional.

The Kings Head, Teddington

Re-opens on 20th September as 'The King's Head' Pub Brasserie. Looks very smart.

The Kings Head, Teddington

The King's Head closed on the 9th May. Apparently it will re-open in August totally refurbished as a pub/restaurant owned by Brasserie Blanc, Raymond Blanc's chain of restaurants but will still be called The King's Head.
