The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham

The greatest Indie pub in the world. No. Quite good though especially when people turn up dressed as the Beatles riding scooters. "Hello my names Ringo". Oh please. Charming bar staff and good music give this place an edge. Its also well hidden and that keeps away the great unwashed. Thumbs up overall but drop the pretence. The 60s ended...well...35 years ago.

The Trocadero, Birmingham

I've had a few good nights here but it was due to the people rather than the place itself. Its kind of a half way house for the all the lost souls in the world. It suffers a bit in the decoration department too and there is a definite air of unholiness about the place. Go in with a cross and some garlic.

The Proverbial, Harborne

Great place to chill out on a saturday afternoon or get trashed on a saturday night. I had a party here and they let me have the new room for free. The place does get too crowded at times but there is always a good atmosphere. The occasional wanabee mullet wearing trendy appears but appart from that the place totally rocks dude. yeah.

Cucamara, Nottingham

Love this seedy little place. Great cocktails and a friendly atmosphere. It made Nottingham bearable - except for when a brick came through the window of the place once. Cucamras seriously rocks though. Go there and drink blue lightening and get wasted. God knows theres nothing else to do in the god awful city

The Old Joint Stock, Birmingham

Terrific pub. Good beer and nice interior. I think it used to be a bank. Now the only think you can bank on is the beer! ha ha ha....Seriously though. go there, sit in a corner, smoke a pipe and whine on about the good old days. You rock.
