Was planning to visit this pub on the way up to Shropshire in a few weeks, but looks like it is currently closed as there is a notice on the website saying the keys have had to be handed back to the landlord and no further information on the website.

As promised, here is the latest news regarding the re-opening of this pub...
According to local sources, the pub is due to reopen on July 27th this year!

I'm not sure what's happened regarding this pub, but according to reports on a local residents forum, nothing seems to have been done regarding the refurbishment of this pub for a while... I'll let you know if anything more happens!

Not a bad pub, have visited it on a few occasions, has everything I want in a pub too... it's the only pub I know in my local area that does!

It appears this pub is currently in the process of being refurbished and reopened.
