The Doric Arch, Euston

Quite impressed with this pub. Went in after a footie match this weekend and found the staff to be very helpful when discussing the ales. The beer was lovely, although we did both stick to the same pint as it was so good. Prices not too bad considering its proximity to the station.

The Bell, Walthamstow

Love the new Bell! They have done a fantastic job with this. The ale selection is great - I had one of the best beers I have ever had here on Saturday! Keep it up.

George and Dragon, Lichfield

Fantastic pub, best in Lichfield. Beer is kept really well and there is always an excellent choice. Friendly landlord and locals.

The Actress and Bishop, Birmingham

Not a bad pub, but only one handpull, and that was off! Get some beer on guys, you can do better than this!

Red Lion, Hockley

A fantastic little boozer! Great range of ales, the Bathams being particularly good. Food is excellent, I can recommend the cajun chicken panini and burgers. Nice, compact beer garden too.

The Brown Lion, Birmingham

Such a shame - this pub has re-opened and no longer sell any ales at all (they really should take the sign down outside that says that it does! We walked straight back out.

The Three Tuns, Sutton Coldfield

Much improved now that Paul and Sid have settled in - very good range of ales, dartboard, decent jukebox and very friendly service. One of the best in the area.

The Brown Lion, Birmingham

A welcome addition to an area that is becoming a little gem for real ale fans. Nice beer, brilliant staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Good luck to them!

The The Gate Inn, Sutton Coldfield

Now under new management - a great couple who care about the pub - the beer is still excellent and the regulars friendly. Band nights most Fridays and Saturdays plus a quiz most Sundays. Dart board and quizzy.

The Three Tuns, Sutton Coldfield

Not a patch on the 'old' Tuns - the character and charm has been totally lost with the refurb and the plasma screens are an unwelcome addition. The beer is average (although that's largely due to it being a Thwaites pub). OK for one or two but that's it.

The Duke, Sutton Coldfield

Nice pub. Does a great pint of Deuchars. The beer garden is huge and not very well known. Only drawback is the price - one of the more expensive pubs in the area.

Crown and Sceptre Inn, Torquay

A 'real' pub. There was a good variety of ales on and they know how to keep them. Friendly locals with a convivial atmosphere

Cary Arms , Babbacombe

Now open again and it has improved massively. They now sell a variety of real ales and have improved the outside area including what appeared to be a pizza oven. It really is a lovely pub now and impressed our party of real ale fans!

The Red Lion, Hockley,jewellry quarter

A fantastic find - we spent a few happy hours in here last weekend and were made to feel very welcome by the great staff despite our domination of the jukebox - apologies to the locals! The beer is well kept and there is a good variety of ales. Sky sports was a nice surprise too. Will definitely return.

Fantastic pub with wonderful staff and landlord - the beer is kept beautifully and there's always a good variety available. If you like your pubs to be friendly and welcoming then this is one for you.
