Absolutely class pub - definitely worth not stopping at The George and stumbling a little bit further down Borough High Street from London Bridge.

The County Arms, Wandsworth Common
I experienced this pub both before and after the refurb as I used to live just round the corner during 2004.
Much as I used to like the abandoned, pub-to-yourself feel, I have to say that it's better now in almost all respects. Food is very good indeed (but chaotically delivered) and the new garden area is excellent.
...but, it's just soooo expensive! Kronenburg (which I don't drink personally - smelly lager!) was at least �3.50, which I think is outrageous. Never went back permanently after the refurb - especially as I'd discovered The Nightingale in the meantime...

Master Brew's a nice pint, and there's always pool here. Good place to be if it's empty...

Definitely the best pub i've found in the area. I can't believe the choice in bitter and ale - couple of Youngs beers, couple of Adnams, couple of Fullers (including ESB, a bit of a favourite), and more besides...
The resident dog isn't really dead, he's just very, very slow... Jumps into life if you rustle a crisp packet near him, but only the first time you do it - he ain't stupid!
