The White Hart, Waterloo

Visited the pub Saturday late afternoon. Nice to see it is not so dark in there, now its had another lick of paint. Shame about the service and the staff. I could hear a story from the staff about the bad temped and unwilling chef of upstairs. I was not there for food, just a mere expresso coffee (well I was driving that day). I was abrutly told by a rude hispanic member of staff that there was not coffee. She did not say why, or sorry or make any suggestion of an alternative. I did see the manager there buzzing about, (she was doing all the work). This pub has got better since my less visit, but still needs alot more improvement.

The Old Barn Farm, Three Legged Cross

The food is from a Brake Bros Catalog.
Therefore the menu range is too big.
Mitchell & Butlers have no money as 5 years ago they mortgaged 1/2 their estate.
All Mitchell & Butler pubs with beer gardens suffer staffing problems on sunny days in summer as the company will not allow them to use agency staff.
A 6.00 per hour agency worker would only cost the business 8.97 (based on an agency margin of 1.50). This in summer would yield higher revenue and lower employment percentage against sales. Put that in your 'Boston Matrix'.
True the staff are very good here apart from 'the jailer' - big guy behind the bar with a complex.

The White Hart, Waterloo

Location : Great
Service : Consistently dreadful
Company: Mitchells & Butlers plc
Division: Castle
Address: 27 Fleet Street, Birmingham B3 1JP
Telephone : 0870 609 3000 & 0121 233 2246

On my frequent visits to the pub the staff have always been so rude and the establishment is always dirty. The only reason why I have used the pub is because of the free park on Whittley Street after 1pm on a saturday (ssshhhh).
I hope this contact information will force serious management action.

It took ages to get served.
The pub was very dirty, not very clean.
The staff were really not interested in their work.

The Monmouth Ash, Verwood

Bottled beer about 3.00
Beer fridge is an oven.
Best go to Morrisons, find some bottled beer and hide it under the frozen food items, then read the autotrader in the magazine isle, then revisit the frozen food isle to dig up the chilled beer.
Once past checkout go to car, open beers and turn radio on.
Do not tune to Forest Fm its the same as Cheese FM in the Monmouth.
Go to 1197mw Absolute Radio (former Virgin station).

The Ship Inn, Lymington

The pub actually looks great, but best drink straight from the bottle (this applies to the Beer and wine).
If you order a pint of Peroni or Staropramen you can taste and smell a metallic tang. Try it !

This would be caused by the staff/duty manager washing all bar equipment in the glass washer and failing to clean out the machine after the service.

**Note for manager - You can order 'liquid diamond cleaner' from an extended order on your BRS system when placing your beer order to Coors. This will cost no additional money on the order and will not affect your P&L. At the end of the service use this product to clean out the machine, then rinse the machine at least 3 times.

Each week take the whole of the insides of the glass machine apart and soak the parts all dismantled in a bucket of water and beer line cleaning fuild, This will kill the mould build up which is occurring.
The result will be more drinks purchased=more buisness=more money=jiucy managers bonus.

**2nd Note. You need more staff during the summer, and staff that are very switched on. Get some Polskies.

**3rd Note. Pay the staff more. If the work 4 hours pay them for 6, so you play the budget game with Mitchell & Butlers 'Castle' channel.

Nell of Old Drury, Covent Garden

The way a real pub should be run, simply the best.
And a very cold beer fridge.

The Elephant and Castle, West Moors

The Christmas menu is pure 'Brake Bros' + Carvey. Beer fridge is on the warm side, and whippet chief barman is too serious and useless. This is mainly a male boozer

The Monmouth Ash, Verwood

Cheesie Xmas music loud and the beer fridge is warm as an oven

The Albion, Verwood

Trying to get to the bar is a mission, it is barricaded by stools. Purched on these stools are clickie locals, who bitch, bitch bitch.
Bar staff are friendly, but appeard to be ruled by the yocals.

The Frog & Wicket, Eversley Cross

Question
Was this 'The Toad & Stumps' back in 1993?

Boss, Subotica

The Best Bar in The World.
It has grown over the past 25 years. Three parts Boss Pizzeria, Boss Caffe & Boss Atrium. In summer nice tables and chairs take over the street. Food is good cheap bar snacks. The Pizza's are hand made, no bought in rubbish.
London take note, this is the way to design and run a bar.

its 200Km appx south of Budapest and 200km appx north of Belgrade.

Directions
Take a plane to Budapest
Train from Keleti Pu to Subotica

Well worth a visit.
