The Shipwrights, Padstow

Good selection of well kept ales. It was very busy out front but there was plenty of room in the beer garden at the back. Food OK, staff friendly. Recommended

Jamaica Inn, Bolventor

Stayed for a night but didn't see any ghosts. The pub is a old fashioned but the beer was well kept. Menu unexciting. Please get rid of the wax dummies!

Food & drink good but on the pricey side. Friendly staff

Richard Oastler, Brighouse

Good choice and value for money. Total lack of atmosphere

The Gray Ox, Hartshead

Good food & beer - but caters more for the eater than the drinker. Quite expensive

The Victoria, Carlinghow

OK pub, I wouldn't call it rouge (whatever that is). I'm sure it used to advertise topless barmaids but it has now gone more up market (boo)

Legends Bar, Batley

Noisy, crowded & boisterous weekend nights until everyone heads off to the local clubs. Perfect for hen nights I imagine. Not for a nice, quiet pint.

The Leggers Inn, Dewsbury

lively & friendly atmosphere, good beer - worth the walk from the West Riding if you fancy a quality, long distance pub crawl

The Croppers Arms, Marsh

wouldn't recommend. Landlady has habit of ignoring you whilst she serves locals, however long you have been at the bar. Food OK

The West Riding Refreshment Rooms, Dewsbury

great pub - good beer & friendly locals. Where the beautiful people are (well by Dewsbury standards)
