Looks bigger from outside than it is in. Beer staff and food spot on and the atmosphere was great. No chavs here they must send them off into town. Great on weekends even better on mondays with cheap pints!!

Good for the footy in the back bar. Front bar much better if your eating as theyve made that part no smoking. Regulars a right mix of all sorts and ages but atmosphere really friendly.

Very small but full of life. Real mix from 18-80 and all having good time. It was standing room only but you didnt mind as everyone was really friendly

The Earley Retreat, Lower Earley
Read in the local rag that the pub had a makeover, went in and got a big shock. Doesnt look anything like it used to inside. Really done a great job with it and even better no kiddies with hoodies or chavs in caps making you feel uncomfortable. Definitely chucked the trash out with the old plastic chairs. Food was great and the team in there were spot on.

In over the new year and atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly. By far and away the best pub on the pond!!!

Had not been in for a while and it turns out a new manager is in charge and what a difference. The place was clean the food was tasty and the guy serving was very friendly. Will be back.

Visited over xmas and the place was rammed with great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and got served quickly despite the crush will definitely go back and check out again at a quieter time.

Great atmosphere good beer and just started doing some proper food which was lovely. Fab boozer.

Heard alot of changes had gone on and paid a visit. Good food, great service and the locals were friendly too most impressed.
