Brewhouse and Kitchen, Islington

Had an excellent lunch here before an Arsenal game...bit further to walk to the Emirates but unlike the Brewhouse at Highbury much easier to get served on match day and you get to drink out of real glasses..not the polycarb things that don't do the beer justice

Brewhouse and Kitchen, Highbury

great pub to meet friends before an Arsenal match....Platters good for sharing...fantastic range of ales and craft beers...does get a bit busy,so bar staff PLEASE do a visual and try to serve the punters in order...Nothing worse than waiting and waiting while the next bloke in their eye line gets served first

The Golden Heart, Shoreditch

called in on our way to the rugby at the Olympic Park yesterday...greeted by Sandra who was very pleasant...Had a pint of Youngs and my mate had a Coke...no mention of get a "proper drink" to him...so all in all ,a nice pub which I will revisit when down that way....Reading all the previous postings it appears there may be a hidden agenda toward this pub and landlady..most of the posts are by people who have only left one comment on this website leading me to assume they are all the same person...so no way does this pub warrant a 3 out of 10...so pay a visit and decide for yourself !

The Shelley Arms, Oxford

now completely demolished...probably flats will be built on the site...I remember the Shelley back in the sixties..aunt sally team, darts team ,bar billiards...place was full every Friday & Saturday night...Like so many pubs,it went down the pan when trends changed...will be missed by a few old romantics..

The William IV, Leyton

Visited yesterday for the first time...Well impressed with the selection of ales...3 Brodies were on..also half a dozen other local cask ales...excellent massive pub mirrors around the bars....interior a bit run down but the Brodies make the visit worthwhile..especially at £2.50 a pint..A few regulars were drinking Fosters and Stella...hmmmm !
